Released around 1984, the Sony FD-40 is one of the larger and more distinctive models from Sony’s iconic Watchman range. Featuring a 4-inch black-and-white flat CRT, the compact television was designed to provide portable viewing while still offering a surprisingly large screen for its time. It also includes a composite A/V input, allowing external video sources to be connected. The FD-40 is a fantastic example of Sony’s innovative portable television design from the mid-1980s.
